Madison Janke (Dallas, Texas) graduated from Texas Christian University with a BFA in Ballet and a minor in Psychology. She began her training at Dance Institute of Dallas under artistic director, Norma Shields. She trained in Connecticut at New Haven Ballet under artistic director, Noble Barker. During high school, she attended American Ballet Theater and Princeton University ballet summer programs.
While attending TCU, she performed in Le Corsaire, Allegro, Moldau, and Illusion, all choreographed or restaged by Li-Chou Cheng. She performed in Evensong and Sorrow’s Labyrinth, choreographed by Elizabeth Gillaspy. In addition, she had the opportunity to perform in Paquita and Giselle, restaged by Jessica Zeller. While attending TCU, she participated in a workshop with Jacques d’Amboise, as well as Stephen Petronio, and took master classes with Ben Stevenson O.B.E., Willy Shives, Michele Gifford, Susan Dromisky, Leslie Scates, Susan Jaffe, Sai Somboon, Keith Saunders, and Toni Pimble.
Madison was on the Dean’s List for four years, became a TCU Scholar, was a recipient of the Transfer Academic Scholarship, a TCU Fine Arts and Communication Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her future plans include, studying Dance and Movement Therapy. In addition to becoming a practicing therapist, she plans to choreograph, teach, and perform.
